Wish I Could Afford A Richard Mille…

I would buy something like this instead… and have extra cash left for a nice watch. I think Nadal can afford a Richard Mille, but from his Australian Open interview, looks like he got it for free, as long as it’s in the camera shot. What would you do if you had a pile of cash big enough for a Richard Mille laying around?

He had one made for him… as a getting him to be an ambassador.
He has a few that were made for him that he keeps. Also he gets them for free to wear and usually gives them back and gets newer ones. Have seen him with about 20 different ones over the years.
Think I read somewhere else he always has 4-5 at any time. There is a quote they have a life long commitment

Nadal has and always will wear Richard Mille watches according to the manufacturer himself. "Rafa and I have a life-long commitment. We are there come rain or shine," Mille is quoted on the company's website.

Great player. I am enjoying the Australian Open so far. Looks hot down there.

And thanks for the link. It explains the exposure shown during the interview.

Watching Break Point on Netflix now. If I had RM money, I'd get '58 Corvette and take a trip to Toronto to take Duracuir1 to dinner and buy some nice leather straps. Bubba Watson wears a RM on the PGA Tour. Or is it LIV?

Chono24 has about 1200 listings for these, half of them used. 😲 I wonder who will buy a used one and why.

I would buy myself about 300 wonderful 18th and 19th century longcase clocks for the money ...

If I had RM coin...

paying off our "Morty" (code for mortgage) and taking The Mrs. on a budgeted Euro Vacay for our upcoming 25th anno of marital (sorta)bliss, and then investing the remainder.

Regardless of what my wife and daughter think of me with my watch thing, I actually like to watch our coin grow vs the opposite.

If I could afford a Richard Mille I'd buy an E type Jag or Norton Commando, a flight in a Spitfire or I could move house.
Premiership footballers like to be adorned in these watches.😵‍💫
What are we missing ?

Genie: OK, you got me. What is thy wish, child?

Scrawny and clumsy Spanish boy: I want to bulk up, learn tennis, and win Roland Garros so often they lose count.

Genie: [Hmm, yep, that's three.] Very well! But when thou art champion, thou mustest forever wear... this.

Spanish boy: Wha'? Wtf even is that thing?

Genie: Look kid, you'll be the greatest. Your wife will be gorgeous and a really nice Swiss guy will want to be your best friend. I don't have all day. It's a watch, right?

Boy: OK, deal. I don't want anyone laughing though.

Genie: I promise. At those prices kid, no-one will be laughing.

But I’m very grateful to have my 2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT and 2007 Ford Police Interceptor [both purchased new in 2001 and 2007 respectively]…

I burned a lot of rubber with those Crown Vics over the years. One in particular was car 232 and the engine whined like no other. No traction control, rear wheel drive, no problem, even on snow.

Invictas go on sale occasionally, well below MSRP if you can imagine. Stretching your budget even further. 😁

And cruises too. You don’t get to go on no JLC Reverso cruises!
