    Dear all,
As you probably remember I have just retire from service my 285
    [IMG]

It was since from 1972 that was not serviced. Before serving I've try to wind it, completely and he run approximately 6h.

Now my local omega dealer service, he says that once serviced it can run for 24h....!

Now I've retrieve it, try to wind it completely (around 10 half turn) but it run no much more than 10 - 12h.

In your experience is it a normal run?
    Thanks.

    Silvio

It should require more than ten half-turns to fully wind - if fully stopped.

10-12 hour power reserve is not acceptable after a full service.

Was the mainspring replaced at service?

These cal 28x should take around 40 winds from completely discharged to fully wound. And then you should get more than forty hours reserve - the last one I had did 44 hours with a new GR mainspring.
