https://www.europeanwatch.com/26389.html Why do I get the feeling that a year from now, this will be considered "a deal?" I would love one of these guys but can't afford to pay thus kind of price...sigh...
To be honest, the watch is nice, but even C24 is full of alternatives for quite a bit less... Maybe in a year's time all of them will be much cheaper, but I doubt that this one in particular will be..
(Sorry to find a 'silver lining' in what, for a lot of members, must be a financial cloud) But for those of us who are fortunate enough to own a 321 Speedmaster the feeling is "Keep going 'Speedys'!.... up ya go! $$$£££€€€"
Lets not forget that this could be just a price bubble and there is a real chance that it may look pricey a year from now, it would have looked like an insane price 2 or 3 years ago. "Past performance is no guarantee to future results" or as I am often told.
This. I think it's likely that prices will steadily rise, but it's certainly not out of the question that an economic shock or simply a change in current fashions will lead to a significant reduction in demand in the next year or two.
How hard is it to find someone to work on and get parts for the 321? Seemed to be the longest part of getting my 1861 serviced- of the 6 weeks it spent in the shop, at least 4 of those were spent just waiting on the parts to come in.
Oops, my bad Well, if they become cheaper, I could get one ! Jokes aside, the market is already getting narrower I believe (I feel like only the Speedies, sport Rolexes and PP are increasing whilst less renowned brands' growth such as Enicar, Wittnauer, etc. has come to an end). The Speedmaster will always be in demand though, so let's see where we are in a year
