Omega has already done the 1957 Seamaster 300, the 1948 Seamaster is coming. Will constellation be next?
That would be cool. How about ~40mm, no date - pie pan? Silver and Black dials (only) w/ Rose Gold indices? ~2500 for stainless and ~6000 for 18k and Maybe 500 L.E. Platinum case for like 8000? Oh, and a nice meaty solid gold observatory medallion on the caseback I bet Omega would sell scores of thousands of these
That would be probably a hit, but I thought the same about the Globemaster and it doesn't seem to sell that well.
you'd probably have to ask Omega how many of the Venice specials they sell a year. this is the market that you'd be selling into. I can't see them moving them in quantities that would make commercial sense and given that the first Connies are 52/53 then we're still 4 or 5 years away from a commemorative version. they might sell to the ladies market in the 38mm size though, but then again you'd need a bezel of some sort that you could bling up. what I want is a re-run of the C Case (perhaps as a Constellation). SS and PM with or without a brick bracelet. sized just a little larger than the vintage case size (perhaps 38mm?) to suit the modern taste. but I'm dreaming as well...
Dress watches aren't cool enough and would have to take off in a big way for that to be worth their while. But stranger things have happened.
That was true in 1952. I think there are at least 20 Constellation models in production today. gatorcpa
