Hi! I have a lead on a parts watch a ref CK2938 for my CK2937 cal 267 Seamaster. Mainly after the bezel. @omega_enthusiast on Instagram told me the only other model with the same bezel is from a CK2938 cal 284. Can anyone else confirm? Thank you so much!

Omega calls out two different part numbers for the bezels on these watches - they don't normally do that if they are the same part.

But close enough to actually fit? 😀

Omega doesn’t tell you if parts from a watch will fit a watch that the part is not for...

Your question was if they were the same...I’m just confirming that they are not.

Do yourself a favour and have it microwelded and brushed. If you are in the USA, ask TM watches. They do a stellar job and is will be cheaper than your experiments......

I live in Manila (which used to be a US territory btw) so I’m in Asia. Are they the best of the best for vintage omega?

Here are NOS 2937 and 2938 cases; indeed there is a small difference with bevel angle. 2937 case with shallow chrystal.

So I shouldn’t buy the 2938 as a donor and wait out a 2937 instead?

Has nothing to do with vintage Omega. You want a jeweller, who uses Microwelding. You will have that in the Philippines, Japan , South Korea, China, Vietnam..... you search and will find. If you like buying other watches to take apart for bezels , do that. I'd find the best vintage Watchmaker in your area and let him handle that.

Any chance you have a bezel for sale? Or just the whole case

Would you happen to know if they are interchangeable? Please I’m close to giving up on the bezel

You should realize that any work done to the bezel (or a new bezel) will look odd in the sense that you will have a shiny new/refinished part on an otherwise well worn/well loved watch…and it will never really match again (it’s not easy matching parts to make a coherent whole). And what happens when you ding that part?

I want to give you an additional warning:
As this is an old watch you must be prepared that there are tiny differences in dimensions because at the time of manufacture they did not use computer aided machines. If you buy a bezel from another watch (of the same reference of course) you may be confronted with non matching your watch main case part because of manufacturing tolerances of that era. It is seldom that parts are interchangeable on watch cases of that age.

IMO there are 2 options:

1) live with the recent condition
2) micro laser-welding in case you cannot stand the condition in which it is at the moment
