Bad description, decent pics, great price? Will it be a recipe for disaster or a great buy, I will know when the post man arrives next week.

The best I can tell the dial has definitely been shoddily relumed, and is most likely a redial. The movement...who knows, hopefully the appropriate cal. 351 or 354. The crown looks legit, and hands look correct. And the case--well it has the lovely Helvetia hallmark clear as day.

Depending on what exactly it turns out to be, what should I do with the dial? It would be decent without that awful lume. Can it be helped?

    Fingers crossed on this one.

Despite the dial, the case actually looks pretty nice! I would try to source another dial from a stainless or gold filled 2577 instead. Sometimes movements come up for sale as well with the dial still attached.
