It is actually a LOT like my first vintage Omega (which I don't have photos of here, will post at home), so it is an interesting circle I've come in.

I used to have a gold-plated fly! Kind of like this, but not as a ring, and itwas an actual fly:

With thanks to @Melhadary for this research. The sides of the watch should have a vertical grain, while the top of the lugs should be shiny, as per these pics

Was thrilled to find the grain still there!

Original omega crystal, with a cyclops, BUT on the inside (ie the crystal is flat).

My 2975 has the same sides.
I thought when I first got it
it looked hand done but that's correct.
