After my last attempt to find a blue dial Monaco, where I almost bought a fake one and lose 2000 euros I am scared to pull the trigger . Does anybody know how to identify fake heuers by checking their serial number? I found another Monaco that I like but with all this news with the Monaco fakes I can’t be sure without papers and box...

This is going back a while and I'm working off memory but I think on the Rolex Forum (TRF) there was a post a couple years ago that included a link to a Japanese site that was chock full of pictures of practically every facet of current and past Tag Heuer models, including very clear images on the various machining marks and components for identifying originals. I wonder if anyone over at the sister Tag forum might have the link to that Japanese site?

Did you check out the Tag Heuer sister site here? as mentioned previously you can post there as you're already registered and they deal with Tags all the time.

You can send the watch to TAG, they will authenticate for Free.
You pay post and insurance to them, they return and pay the post/insurance.
    Hope this is of use.

Well...pretty much any experienced watch tech or watch dealer could do the same with the watch in their hands for around 20 seconds but as with the free Tag service...it's all after the fact unless you drag the seller and his watch along with you.
