Why is This Omega Book So Expensive?

The book has been printed in 10.000 copies (2.000 French, 3.000 German, 5.000 English).

Bought one yesterday at the OMEGA Boutique in Vienna (Austria). It was in stock, could even choose between English and German version. Price was EUR 260,00.

As to errors and omissions (what the hey, in view of the enormous quantity of information), OMEGA are gratefully asking for comments.

I’m picking mine up today at the boutique.

My sons and I visited Vienna in 2017... a beautiful city. My youngest wrote his honors thesis in part on the history of the development of the city.
We stayed in Josefstadt

Picked up the book... I’ll get around to opening the tightly secured box in a bit. They also gave me a few trinkets... treats inspired by the early 2000s, that’s what the thank you card says... the gift card to Tocaya Organic, I’ll use, great organic Mexican food and 2 within a couples of miles, when this pandemic is over.

Josefstadt is a nice area. I hope you all had a pleasant stay.

By the way, should your son still be interested in the Vienna history, on the website of the City of Vienna there is the possibility to put various historic city maps as an additional, semi-transparent layer over the recent map. A very impressive support to imagine exactly what has once been the situation where. (Service available only in German language):

https://www.wien.gv.at/kulturportal/public/
Open drop-down-menu „Historische Stadtpläne“ in the left side column „Karteninhalt“.

We had a wonderful stay in Vienna. I will pass on the link to my youngest, who does speak and read German. Thank you for the link.

Anyone know of a German dealer willing to work on obtaining the book in English or a dealer that has the book in stock and is willing to send it to a German address?

I tried directly Omega but got 0 replies.

The Omega Boutique in Hamburg has an English edition in the store right now, give them a call!

I have also been looking for a copy of this book. I am in London. Do you need to buy a watch from the omega boutique before they allow you to buy this book? Or can you buy it on its own. If anyone has any tips of any dealer that had this book in London, it will be much appreciated.

Good luck.

Contacted Omega and they said that they don't have one.
So, I guess it's just a matter of luck if it's in stock somewhere.
