Why I changed my avatar picture

Not far from my homeland Germany in Belarus,-a part of the former Soviet Union- thousands of people demonstrate since weeks peacefully against a corrupt and violent dictator who also frauded the recent elections.

While doing so they are arrested illegally by the police, sometimes being beaten up brutally.


I know that this forum isn't meant for political statements but I want to make shure that these brave people are not forgotten!

Thank you for sharing. It’s been said that ‘bad things happen when good people do nothing’. I appreciate you providing a reminder of what it means to stand up against real tyranny, and the importance of demonstrating to protect the electoral process.

Yes thanks our news cycle here in the US is so overloaded with nonsense I think we are losing sight of bigger struggles face in the world. Hats off to those brave people I wish them well.
