I have the Mark II and Mark III. Only because I am a fanatic for Speedmasters, but reality is they don't get me the same way the original does. Plus how many limited edition Mark III or Mark II are there compared to original?

Yep, sometimes a 42" pulled by a husky will get the job done. Other times it takes a Stihl with a little more power and a little more bar. In my experience at least...

They won’t let me be around safety scissors, this is just another level. 😲

Was that carpenter ants? I had to take a beautiful one down ants had done a # on but my 18” bar is all I have needed that is one monster you have on that adjusting the chain or replacing it must be a treat. I’m pretty sure stihl is one of the highest rated I was forced to get a pulon pro as we had an unexpected tornado rip through a couple years back it was the biggest one left on the shelf and TBH I appreciate their products now got a snow blower by them you can find a decent amount of their products USA made. Goodness that tree u took down had been around for years.

Best I could tell, a couple of the larger upper branches had died & rotted and then all the water & moisture worked it's way down toward and into the trunk over many years. Making the loop and getting it mounted & adjusted was tough, but what I dread the most is sharpening those long chains. Feels like it takes days!

Wow. That's an insane bar on that saw. Controlling that big boy must be interesting 😉. I bought a husky with a 20" bar which now seems tiny in comparison.

Buying a chainsaw instead of MKII was discussed above in this thread. Funny, this chainsaw pictured here also has orange color elements (and black/steel/white), just like MKII!

Me too. I love the racing dial. There was a great one for sale on here recently @Toishome
I was so tempted, but unfortunately I don't have a spare $3k as I have had to buy a new chainsaw instead (thanks storm Arwen).

I thought hard about that one, as well. I could have done a face to face deal.

You know, I was thinking the MK2 would complement the orange Husky nicely too!
...another reason to buy one!
