Good to see a article without a Milky Ring mentioned.

.
( I know it upsets the Milky Ring owners 😁 )

I like milk with my cookies (biscuits), but not with my Speedmaster.

By the end of the year 2020 , and with a modest ( not 5 figure sum ) budget...
The answer yo the question "" Which Speedmaster Professional should I buy? "" is...
Any correct Omega Speedmaster made between 1967 and 1997 😉

Thanks , good article.

Yeah , the milky ring thing is not my cup of tea and honestly the only thing that can stop me from purchasing the new Ed White. I'll know when I get to see it first hand if it's an issue or not. Hopefully not.

Why are the conclusions in these articles always so boring and afraid to offend 😕 It’s always “buy what you like”, “perhaps this could be the choice for you OR it might also be that” or “either way you will have made a good choice”.

Why not just say it as it is: people who buy a Moonwatch with sapphire crystal are horrible people and definitely won’t go to Speedy heaven 😁😁

I’ll see enough milky rings when my eye sight goes... I don’t need to see the ugly things now.

Mine's seen a bit...

Love it. Your pic reminded me of a story I read about a Rolex collector who had every SS you can think of and one day, he was at a car thing in the Neveda desert wearing his new pepsi ceramic all spotless and pristine when he struck up a convo with a fellow watch guy..he was wearing an original pepsi non ceramic and it was beat to sh*t..the guy went on to tell him all the stuff he'd been through with that beat up watch and as he listened he found himself becoming jealous..of the interaction the man had with that watch and it was his only watch. He said it made him look differently at his pristine collection after that.

I'm convinced the Speedmaster is the most photogenic watch ever made.

Also, what a beauty you have there @SoyuzPilot !!

Very true. There's a difference between collecting and wearing, for sure. Some people are in shock by the scratches on my Moonshine for example, but I've been wearing it almost daily and even though I do take care, there's scratches on it.

Sapphire for me. I don't give much credibility to a site/author who thinks the childish Rolex nicknames are cute.

Hey, Mr Rodentman! 😀 The author of this article has nothing going on with Rolex fyi. I find it interesting that it bothers you so much and you even feel it discredits our work... amazing. Especially from someone with your own nickname.

I remember a thread once on another forum (I think it was TZ) where it was claimed the Speedmaster was the most photographed watch. Not sure whether that is true or where they got it from, but I do agree that it is a very photogenic watch. Whether it is a lousy photo or an amazing photo, the watch itself always looks good 😀

I think the Speedmaster is an icon and the Daytona a marketing dream.
