Why does my 1069 bracelet not have a 1069 stamp?

Hi everyone,

I got this 1069 bracelet with 524 endlinks, got it with a watch with the intention of selling the bracelet, as I like using suede leather for contrast

However, while the bracelet looks genuine, and side by side with my 1040 bracelet, the clasp is 1:1 - yet it's not stamped

I wanted to ask you guys before attempting to sell something that's potentially an incredible replica, did bracelets come without stamps ever?

Thanks in Advance

Photos for reference, pardon the proof post-it

Seems odd. I have an Omega No. 12/1037 BOR and both numbers are stamped on the clasp.

Looking at photos online, so many variations for the stamp/logo on the back

Also some 1069 bracelets seem to have a uniform sanding for all pieces (maybe an aftermarket job), while mine has sanding for the side pieces, and more of a glossier look for the middle ones

My experience with some of these bracelets that weren't exclusive to Omega (the 1175's a great example) is that it's just entirely all over. I don't know enough about No. 12 as a marking, and what that entailed, but I find it curious that it's on your 1069, that it's findable on lots of BORs without any other obvious marks, that it's commonly on 1175s, etc.

Still+all: yours is clearly a 1069, though, too, that bracelet was used by all sorts of other brands, Bulova and Tissot coming most immedately to mind. Regardless: looks great, and GLWS.

There are numerous examples of bracelets from the late 60's/early 70's simply stamped "Omega No.12".

Absolutely not a fake.

As comparison, mine is slightly different with the clasp including “No. 12” and the bracelet model “1069” appearing under the words “stainless steel.”

Even though mine has the model number, I agree with the assessment of others above and I don’t think yours is a fake.

It may be possible that the buckle was replaced at some point. I've actually noticed this a bunch of times and wasn't able to ever find an answer, so I assume that it is more common than would be expected.
