I really like this. Such a handsome watch IMO.

Movement looks like 26.5 SOB.

Serial number suggests 1938.

I've seen slightly different hands on some of these. But, I might dare think this is all original?

Should I put the face through an ultrasonic clean?

Hello!
Great watch and congratulations! As for the hands, I'm 100% sure that in minutes it's the right time for the model, most likely the time. The crown has been replaced. For the dial, I have no idea what ultrasonic cleaning is and whether it will not damage it. With proper cleaning, only the middle part will become silver, and yours has an excellent color and patina and there is no need for that.
My CK 859 with caliber 30 from 1939. I had to clean it because it was very dirty where I have losses in the central part, but with you everything is even.

Ah! Lovely!! What a beauty. Thank you for sharing!

Yours is slightly (maybe a year) later according to the case and movement numbers. The Cal on this one is a 26.5 SOB T2 vs the Cal 30. I've no idea of the relative merits but imagine the Cal 30 to be more evolved and a better movement?

Yes, I can see the original crown style!

Many thanks for the advice on cleaning. This makes a lot of sense. I like the silver dial on yours, but I'll take your kind advice, be highly conservative and leave it uncleaned and as original as possible.

I'd love to know more about these watches. I've seen a handful only.

For me, the dial was like that and I had no choice for cleaning. Regarding your crown, it will be much more comfortable to wind and don't think about it ...

Thanks Donko.

I think yours does look better cleaned.

Such a fine-looking watch!

And yours is wonderful. I wouldn't touch mine if it wasn't so dirty. I took a risk and I think I succeeded ...

You ONLY put your dial through an ultrasonic cleaner, if you put your face next to it..... Oh Dear.

I'm sure the OP was joking when they asked that question.

I think I'll re-word that: "I sincerely hope they were joking!".
