I think watch aficionados like ourselves imagines drawers full of vintage and modern watches in pristine condition if we had that kind of money. But to a lot of those guys they just don’t care very much about watches and I’m sure a $4,000 Breitling seems like an extravagant purchase for something that just tells time (even though they make 90 million dollars a year). For all we know they have a 20 million dollar stamp collection that would seem ridiculous to me but maybe to them is much more appealing than “faded patina” and “lightly stretched bracelets”....lol
