'70s Speedie and a nice Seamaster chrono. I thought $4K but a whopping $7.7K https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mixed-Lot-...eBsImwFvnoOYtiFj%2B04%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=ncPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Not much else there. Looks like a gold Omega case / bracelet and a gold Accutron 218. Citizen Aqualand (seems they are always broken) Interested if the Omegas work and the gold content........of course.
I bid up a little higher, but was soon surpassed by the winners. I wasn't able to get any more photos of the speedy from the seller, but thought a 145.022-69, maybe a late 321 with a replaced dial and bezel if you were really lucky? - probably not. The seamaster had some value though, and it appeared as though both watches were working. In the end the amount surpassed my 'safe' limit, as I wasn't sure on the value of the other pieces (except the diassembled cosmic). Best of luck to the buyer! And all proceeds were supporting a charity so some good has come of it .
I got these few mediocre additional photos from the seller, at least one of which he added to the listing. Looks like a decent, or possibly nice 145.022-69 with bracelet. I thought, sure - 4k. But 7.6k?? All without seeing quality pictures, seeing inside the case back, a movement shot, or anything. Seems like someone got excited about getting a “barn find” in a used lot, and forgot they were paying market prices for it. But hey, maybe the buy will get lucky! I hope they do.
