    Hi, All.
I bought this unusual looking watch a few weeks ago, I have done the usual searches on the net but am drawing a blank as to who made it.
As can be seen from photo 2 it is a cal 238c, were it is impressed with the caliber number is a makers stamp. Has anyone any idea's as to who's the makers stamp is?
Best Wishes to all for Christmas.
    Joe.
PS. It's raining here in sunny Wigan.

Movement might be a Lorsa 238C. The MOD DEP on the dial means modèle déposé, indicating that the design was possibly registered. Mikrolisk has no record of a REF wordmark, so perhaps this was a French microbrand.

    Hi, Vitezi.
There's very little on the net about this watch just a few photo's.
I bought it because I thought it was different and I liked the look of it.
    Thanks for looking.
And I love the cat photo.
    Best Wishes.
    Joe

The Ranfft link indicates a possible tie to the movement having French origins. This might explain the letter abbreviations on the bezel indicating the days of the week in French. I believe the bezel would be moved to align the day letter with the date pointer. The red D for dimanche (Sunday) and so on. Nice find by the way.
