I stumbled upon this WG Seamaster on Ebay today. What does everyone think of it? Is is legit? I've never seen one like it before. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMA...269380?hash=item1c64dcb204:g:gk4AAOSwMmBVimdMPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Something could be wrong with the movement. In Ebay ad there is no clear picture of movement name (cal.) or number but you can read "17 jewels" on the movement. As ref. 166.020 should be either with cal. 562 or 565 and both movements have 24 jewels it could be a slightly franken. https://www.omegawatches.com/planet...ache=1&cHash=5026f2a69b53d187054a79e79f8e46c6 There is an option that it was made for US market and has a lower jewel movement (560/563) http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2uswk&Omega_562 They also put chronometer movements in steel and gold on steel cases for Constellations and there as model (166.020 ) was not chronometer certified they put 562/565 in it. I have had some yellow gold 166.020 with normal 562/565 so nothing odd there.
That particular reference in white gold for some reason there are a very large number of floating around compared to almost all other references of Seamaster and Constellation, I remember a year or two ago some guy actually dumped like half a dozen of them both complete watches and loose cases on eBay, most didn't go that high.
