White gold for Omega markings on the watch?

    So on the top of the dial we have white Omega logo and the word "OMEGA" underneath.
    Are those made of white gold? Watchbox reviews mentioned this a couple of times for planet ocean line up.

    Typically, no, and the Watchbox review is wrong regarding the PO (dial furniture is rhodium plate). Also, pictures of what watch you are specifically referring to would help.

    Per Omega Website, the hands and hour markers on the deep black ceramic models are white gold. No mention of the logo or wording.

    actually, it’s not. A few of the higher end watches mention “white gold” hands, but most say nothing. To the OP, why does it matter. All white gold is rhodium-plated to make it shinier and more “white”. Rhodium costs $12,000 an ounce, compared to $1600 per ounce for gold, but most people don’t realize that. Saying hands are “white gold” is more marketing to appeal to the perception gold is better than a real indication of superiority.
