It is crazy that for a small chip there is no repair option, people manage to get antique vases repaired with no visible repair marks when they take it to an expert. Maybe people should take their watches to one of them!

I agree with what others are saying though, if I had a ceramic watch, it would be straight onto the accidental damage insurance policy!

Apollo 8 for me. Personally I like the Thinner watch, more unique and interesting dial, yellow for pop, 3 sub dials.

But either is a great choice, depending on what floats your boat.

As you can see by my avatar, I vote for the Apollo 8. I've worn it every day since it arrived

To me neither as well...simplicity is key as these are just very "flashy" IMHO

Well it seems that fate agrees with the (slight majority who favour the A8. The DSOTM that was in contention has sold so, I’ll have to wait for another opportunity.

So the A8 is inbound.... oh and as an added bonus there’s a GmAC joining it too ::facepalm1::

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Always fun to read people’s thoughts and opinions, always varied and interesting.

    Cheers!

For me personally, the yellow on the Apollo 8 is not my thing. Beside of this I have to admit that the watch is looking gorgeous :)

It is actually the yellow that I find one of the most appealing factors. That and the semi skeletal design of the dial and workings at the back.

Thr negatives for me - though tolerable are the manual wind (wish it was an auto, but get that it benefits from being slightly thinner due to this). Also the fact it comes on a buckle strap is a disappointment. I think the convenience of deployant has spoilt me in this regard. Hard to go back to a buckle. But I gather this can be addressed with alternative parts so again, tolerable and can be worked around.

Apollo 8 for sure. It is just amazing the level of detail in person and the watch has so much character. I thought the yellow would be too much - but it actually works some how. Had the 50th anniversary not been slated for my watch budget - the Apollo 8 was going to be the one I was going to get this year.
