So I just bought my first Rolex (white dial Milgauss). But unfortunately one of my other two beauties must get cut to help fund it. So... The question is which one goes. It's between the Speedmaster 57 and the Tudor Pelagos. Both have upsides, and both serve a purpose. The 57 fits in the same wearing category as the Milgauss. And it's absolutely stunning. But I also feel like I have to baby it a little more then the Pelagos because it's not as water resistant, it has no crown guards, and it's very high polish all over. On the flip, the Pelagos is a stand out and crazy candy blue. It's a true tool watch with amazing color. It's titanium, an in house movement with 70hr power reserve, ceramic bezel, and super waterproof. I'm really torn on this one... Anyone able to talk some sense into me as to why I should consider one over the other? Thanks all
I hate to say this but if you have the Milgauss why would you get ride of the Pelagos. The Pelagos is your dive. Everyone needs a dive.
I want to keep the 57 because she's prettier. But... I will have to come up with additional cash to find the Milly, and I will really miss the Pelly
Everyone needs a chrono these days ( chrono,s are in at the moment) you will be looking for a chrono within a week if you sell the 57
The 57 oozes class and I'm guessing you have a strong bond with it. I'd let the Tudor down gently and say goodbye.
Both of the blue watches have a unique cool to me. If I was given those three watches at the same time but told I had to flip one, I'd flip the Rolex. My wife says I have an "unsophisticated palette" which may bleed into my taste for watches.
If I was in a different position, I'd suggest you sell that speedy to me! However, I have to give my honest opinion, and say Keep the Speedy! Its beautiful!
I'd keep them all and start looking for a 50 Fathoms to round out the set...... But then....... I'm broke...... again....... So you'd best not listen to me. Oh.... and a Tresor, everybody needs a nice gold dress watch. Oh, Oh..... and a Seiko monster!
