Hello @watchlovr. There is a really great thread on boxes somewhere. This one I think??? https://omegaforums.net/threads/lets-make-the-ultimate-omega-box-thread.26615/ Scroll down. I think your box is shown in the 20th picture down. It has a note above the photograph indicating it's for metal bracelet watches.
Thanks, found that. I had worked out that it for a metal bracelet. Which bracelet watch of what year though? I've not seen a picture of a watch in it.
Yeah a photograph of the box with it's watch would be great, and I think I stumbled across one. A question though: Were Omega box designs intended to accomodate more than one model of watch? Anyway I found this on Gumtree UK. https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/boxed-vintage-mens-automatic-and-date-omega-mens-watch/1235702096
Thanks for your help but that is a different box. It is actually for leather straps but the guy has put a metal one in it. I think the boxes (unless marked for a specific range) were for any model that would fit.
Ahhh... yes you are right. I suppose it would be more helpful to find an old picture posted on line showing that style of box with it's original watch. Hopefully an expert on vintage Omega boxes will chime in on this one. Good luck mate!
