Redial Dato-Compax very nice watch ! Got an original dial to switch out, it's going to be a very nice piece ! The diameter is only 33 mm but it has a very thin bezel and the dial face up large ! First Dato-Compax that I've ever seen in person. The oversized 36-37 mm one must be super nice ! Switched out the redial for an original one !

Congrats!!
Don't see hardly any Dato-Compax they were only made a couple of years I think before Tri-Compax. A bit on the small side but very cool in their own right ! Would like to own the 36-37 mm one.At least I got one example in my collection !
Congrats!!

For tri-compax, 8:20 is a better choice than 10:10 - except for the AM drowsiness!

Thanks... Grey Sting Ray hide from Aaron Bespoke of Montreal. He’s an excellent strap maker.

Today ... my first Tri Compax just back from a full overhaul at the spa. 22242 on a Hermès style strap with UG Patek style buckle. Yes this is a service dial and moon disc but for me this is the very essence of what makes these watches compelling. Inscription on the back indicates an active life. I’m the third OF owner.

Forgive me if you're already all over this one but that has probably belonged to somebody in the Royal Artillery and 18205212 is likely their service number - the number range suggests that they weren't commissioned but given the likelihood of it being around WWII the number of well-heeled individuals serving and not being an officer would be higher than normal. The inscription is likely an attempt to discourage someone from stealing it - it isn't issued.

Jordn (previous owner) did a deep dive into this while he owned it. The article is in archives. Yea not issued but fun provenance. Gives the watch some additional character. Actually you’ve added dimension so thanks!
