I was looking at a grey dealer and they showed this image... A brown dial current-model Speedmaster? So I ran a search on Google Images, and the linked image goes to Omegawatches.com, but the watch it links to is the standard, black dial Speedmaster. I'm confused; really like the idea of a chocolate dial.
There is a modern speedy with a brown dial. Maybe this one? http://www.amazon.ca/Omega-311-30-42-30-13-001-Speedmaster-Brown-Watch/dp/B004EHQQIA
Thanks but if you search for that ref, you get the standard black model: https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/speedmaster/moonwatch/professional-42-mm/31130423013001/
Tourneau in South Coast Plaza in California has one currently, I believe it is used but basically perfect condition. I think they stopped making it about a year or 2 ago, but it is a Professional with a brown dial. Omega's website is just defaulting to a regular SpeedyPro ending in 005, and the post above has the correct reference. http://www.tourneau.com/watches/pre...fessional-manual-31130423013001-VOM06598.html I didn't spend that much time with it, as the guy was trying to sell me a platinum 50th Daytona Ice Blue/Brown which they had sitting in their used section... WHO PUTS A 65k WATCH IN THE USED SECTION!!!! And yes thank you, I know you have zero APR for 1 year, I am sorry I cannot afford a Platinum Daytona... It did look nice on my wrist though....
Thanks for the info. Does it have the same reference as the standard model, or does anybody have the correct ref?
As noted 311.30.42.30.13.001 is the correct reference. The Omega page defaults to 311.30.42.30.13.005 when you try to go to it.
It's an interesting model because it seems like hesalite would be a better fit with the vintage tropical dial inspired chocolate dial.
@ulackfocus Might very well be time to add to the Forum. A new section called Speedmaster Professionals, with subs that are Premoon, LE, Modern.
