There are 2 watches I like the look of and currently doing more reading and researching on. Wanted to see which one would you choose.

For the sake of argument and to make it a bit easier perhaps, lets say both are in same good shape, all original parts, look clean, both SS (not gold or gold plated) and price is same, or similar.

Watch 1: Seamaster Chrono Cal 564

    Watch 2: Seamaster 30 Cal 286

Pics above are just of the 2 watches I found on google, so that there is no confusion. Which one would you go for and why?

I just bought this one so I guess I'd go with numero uno. Also, is that bubbling on the dial of the 30?

I prefer vintage, light patina, no-date dials, so Seamaster 30 for me.

With the exception of the bubbling on the dial, I love the vintage look of the 30. Simple, clean, clear and elegant. Darragh

I like both, but prefer no-date so lean toward the Seamaster 30.

Simple classic design is my preference, so the Omega Seamaster 30 calatrava for me.

Any of the sparkles, the one you pictured or a 168.023 cal 750 or 166 032 cal 751/752 . All are really nice with great movements

I am going to ask stupid question. Can you point out bubbling, or explain where do you see it. I am trying to figure out what you are looking at, but have no idea. As you can guess I am new to this whole thing, so it would be really good to know.

Few more pics of same watch:

Between the 7 and 10 o'clock markers, left of the center. First photo shows it the best.

When you zoom in on the dial there are tiny bumps showing aka bubbling. Does not detract from the watch IMO.

Just picked up a sparkle a couple of months ago. Mine is gold and I am in love with it. It's a classy watch the gets noticed but for all the right reasons. The 30 looks quite stunning to and is certainly one of the next watches I would consider.

IMO, if those two watches are priced at the same level, then the Seamaster 30 is overpriced or the Sparkle a bargain!

    +1 here

and I would take the chronometer any time first! Uncommon (rare) piece, nice size, beautiful look,....

I think the SM 30 is the choice when you have really skinny wrists, otherwise the chronometer is far better concerning size

That is a really interesting point, price wise. I wasnt going to bring it up, as it was more of a general question, but since you did I do have a follow up. What would be considered fair prices for these 2 watches in good condition? Clearly by your comments SM30 should be cheaper, which I wasnt expecting truth be told. I did some digging around, but majority of examples of both watches that sold were not in a great shape, so prices were all over the place really.

I would go with the Seamaster only because it is the Chronometer version of the one I have.

I must agree with people who like Seamster 30. Simple, yet elegant!
