I have to sell one of these watches to finance my growing hunger for new pieces. I know they are in different priceranges, but if you could only keep one of these, who would it be and why?
Does anyone have insight to a fair price for the speedy? I tried 1500 Euro at my local facebook forum with no luck. Am i asking to much? It is in pretty decent condition. Crisp edges and case. Serviced 3 yago
I had some thought about this as well. I like and use them both equally. Wondering which one will likely increase its value more in case of a bb
The Constellation. The “C” cases have been undervalued for decades. The automatic Speedmasters are the red-headed stepchildren of the Speedmaster line. They are fairly expensive to begin with, cost more to service and don’t give you a high ROI, if that is what you are after. My opinion and YMMV. gatorcpa
This is what I was hoping to do. But a flightmaster, a piece i have been wanting for a while, just flew into my grasp-range and I cannot help myself.
One comes across as more of a tool watch and the other more of a suit/dress watch. The Connie as pointed out, is easier to replace . Gatorpca makes an interesting point about the Speedy automatic being the redhead kid (my mum was a redhead!!!)..Certainly way better quality and serviceability than the automatics of the modern reduced speedy line... There is after all the beating heart of a Lemania 1040/1045 in there. I'd sell it the connie and at some point in the future go looking for a fancier one.....but then I'm not really into Connies....
