    Hi Omega Friends,

I am looking for your inspiration for an Rubber strap for my vintage Seamaster 300.
I have on mind the original PO straps but I would like to hear what you think,
or which rubber band you would recommend in order to have "the best case match" from the curved ends point of view!

Thank you very much for your feedback and pictures.

    Best regards,
    Peter

PS: In order to keep you update on my Seamaster 300, I can tell you that it had a quick spring check in last week at my local certified Omgea Jeweller here in munich where he has also changed the plexi and adjusted the 552, everything is original and working super fine, but believe or not, even with the new Omega Plexi Glas you are not able to read the T Swiss Made T Printing"

But I have seen the dial without the plexi on it and the print is there. My Jeweller told me that my case is properly an early 64-65 case and the current dial is matching perfectly to the case from a size point of view and also an early Big-Triangle dial from the Seamaster line.

    Button line:
He thinks that the Omgea 552 calibre has changed to a 68 model over the years, maybe during the last restauration 2012 in London, based on the given 68 serial number.

Especially early dials will change over the years to that coffee crème aged tritium like mine. Hope you can clarify this a bit, I have seen already a sceond 165.024 Dial where the T SWISS MADE T printing was hidden under the chrome ring from the plexi..

Btw, this Creme Nato one is a Cordura Nato Strap, more heavy then normal natos, got it over Ebay for 30 Bucks. not bad all! But I do like my Seamaster more on the other creame red nato, I wish the Cordura one would have the same style :)

Personally I would go for an original Tropic. They aren't cheap but they are at least from the same period as the watch. They also wear well, although some do not like them. Some I have are hard, others soft ....

Great feedback with the tropic idea, i thought as well over this but then with curved ends and matching 100% the case design of the 165.024 case, you see below, there is a little bit, 2mm gap between on the end of the strap/ curves and the watch case. But i would accept this combo! :) great feedback so far!

    Hi,

i was on the hunt for a Tropic rubber, so far I have investigated that they are 2 Versions of the Tropic from the 60s and 70s, the once label with Acie and Swiss Made are heavier then the unbranded Swiss Made Tropic ones. Is this correct?

I do like a white one, would love to see the white one in real, maybe it is a bit off-white
What do you think of this one here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SWISS-MADE-...952?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item518c8e8358Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

    Thank you, Peter
