Sorry actually thought you meant the watch, and that it came in the box, so maybe not

Just as today, the Omega of the 1970´s ( which I estimate to be the period of your box ) had quite an extensive range with many, many variations of model and sub model within each line. Hundreds if not thousands of different references. Today they only have a few different basic watch boxes and then some special ( huge ) ones for the LE´s and less common models.

I think there was probably the same thing going on back then but to an even greater extent. There will have been a few standard box variations which if the watch had comfortably fit inside could all have been used for all the different models. Then there were some special boxes ( the flip top see through coloured plastic ones spring to mind ) for the larger and more exotic models ( such as the Marine Chronometers, maybe Anakins/Darths etc )

But for the majority of watches I´m not so sure whether there was always a specific box designated to a specific reference. Your watch looks period correct for the box so for me that is good enough :)
