Hello Just aquired my Omega Speedmaster Speedy Tuesday. It comes with a NATO and leather strap. Case is brushed aluminium. Does anyone know if Omega do a bracelet for this watch? Thank you
Any of the newer Speedmaster professional bracelets will work fine and are available at your dealer. As you state you are concerned about toughness (other thread), I would get a newer model and not a vintage bracelet that some like for historical reasons.
Best combination for me is the 1450/808 bracelet but it is very expensive. You can go with the less expensive 1171/633 bracelet and I think you can order it from an AD.
Read above. I would not recommend these for the OP as he is concerned about strength and substance in tough conditions.
1171/633 feels cheap and rattly, it's also extremely lightweight. I would not recommend it for quality but I love mine because it gives my Speedmaster the vintage 70's look I was after. Cost £360 from an OB/AD a month ago.
£360 for a modern 1171/1?!?! Is that what they charge for the modern version? I'd rather pay a bit more for the real, vintage 1171.
Personally, I'm fond of the 1479/812 on the speedy. Nice taper to 16mm at the clasp, old style adjustability (toothpick!), and less rattly than the 1171. Takes a bit of looking to find one as they don't seem to have been produced for very many years.
