Looks like 805 end links... so a 1447/805 bracelet?

So if it's on the correct watch a 145.022 from the mid 1980's.

I think the case back is off something else though.

*the people with the real Speedmaster knowledge will be along shortly...*

Is there a 4 digit number on the case back? Since you have bracelet off there may also be the same 4 digit number on the case between the 12 o'clock lugs.

Might be from 1985-1988, reference 345.0808.

I believe you have the Omega 345.0808

They made 1,000 of these Speedmasters. They were made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of being certified for NASA manned space flights.

The bracelet may also be original to the watch (at least correct for the reference) as well, there should be a number on the clasp, it would be 1447.

Did your father buy this brand new? If so, it would have been purchased new between 1985-1988.

@tyrantlizardrex - they made only one watch with a display back and a copper-colored caliber 863.

    thank you for your reply,

indeed the number 1447 is on the clasp and yes he bought it new.
So this is the only 863 model with a copper-colored caliber?

No that's my mistake! They did a very small run of gold ones, yours is copper colour which is the more standard version. :)

Omega Speedmaster, 20 Years Flight-Qualified for Space, reference 345.0808

Very cool watch you have. I think everyone of us here would love to have a single owner watch passed down from a father or grandfather (no uncles).
