Tough call, if its your first good watch the 9300, if its a second or third watch, the Speedy Pro. They both look excellent, the Pro is old school and has a credibility no other watch under $10k can match, the 9300 is an excellent watch with a brilliant movement.

Is the 9300 the blue titanium? Even if it is the stainless I would go for the 9300 if you plan to buy a speedy pro 1861. Now if you only want one speedmaster I would stay with the 1861 professional.

I think the 9300 looks better on your wrist.

They look very similar on your wrist, however, the Speedie Pro is lighter, thinner, better looking, cheaper and just a fuk'n legend!

depends on a few things: 1, are you the type of guy that would get annoyed with winding the watch up every evening? 2, size of your wrist. 3, budget. the size of the 9300 is not for everyone however the movement and looks are phenomenal. you don't want to be in a position 3/6 months down the line and regret not going for the 9300 due to price. its a tough call and i have just gone through what you're going through. i walked away with the 9300 co axil in black. best of luck! PS, take a look on ebay for a good used one, maybe around 3-6 months old as some decide the watch is too 'chunky'.
