Very nice, for the record someone is maintaining a public list of recorded serial numbers and by my count there are now 47 serial numbers of recorded examples (published on the « Vintage Smiths » subsection of MWR, Last update Dec. 5 2018).

True for Smiths Deluxe’s there are 47 but this is a 1961. It is part of the batch made for Australia which now there are 13 known examples.

Cal 83s are not rare, but I think this dial is (right, @Tony C. ?):

Is an anonymous chrono considered rare? 👎

Hi Aaron,

Minimally very uncommon. I coincidentally saw a gold one, though not in as good condition, at the Munich fair last weekend!

Rarest watch I have in my collection is....

Sekonda!

It’s a limited edition TVR branded chronograph, officially commissioned by the company and not one of the terrible eBay specials.

There was only 500 made. Whilst it’s not a premium watch you can’t get one and trying to find a TVR owner to part with one will probably never happen.

A TVR Sekonda?

I’ve only ever seen one other and that was about 10 years ago at a TVR meet

Have only come across a very small handful of this particular format of Lip. The Tachymeter remains very rare and a great wear.

Plus this particular version of the Seaboard took me a while to find.

Is it fair to say the Rolex Daytona 116500?😁 Not rare but rare to get at retail for most people...😉

It took me six years to find one of these 18k sea monsters with the original bracelet, so rare-ish at least.

I like watches that are different than the norm
I like odd shaped + unusual watches
Here are some rare ones I've found-

All original + just serviced

Rarest bird in my cage would likely be this one. It’s been difficult for me to find this reference -especially in this condition.
Seiko Baby Panda 6138 8000, original throughout including bracelet. This one came to me from an Australian collector of cameras 6CF14BE5-9BE2-4D06-811C-E9E660EB043E.jpeg 3F1FC62A-504D-42D2-B807-69113D582368.jpeg

Maybe not desirable for most here but a bit of a rare oddball. An 18K Hamilton Ventura from 1958 made exclusively for export to Europe. Fewer than 5% of all Venturas were 18K.

Great thread idea.

Not sure how rare this is but the Marvin brand is pretty low profile and I've only seen one other the same as this on Uhrforum and it wasn't in nearly as good condition. 2nd photo is closer to the true dial colour. Let me know if you've come across any of these.

One of the harder-to-find Camaros

I havent seen this configuration of dial, markers and hands before. Closest would be the gold Omega 320s:

This one has a bittersweet story -- TLDR is missed out on it at really cheap by a few hours, saw it pop back up on a dealer's site a few weeks later, negotiated down to an acceptable valuation but no longer the amazing value find it wouldve been originally :/

(still love it though -- have always thought this would be the best configuration but didnt know it actually existed until I saw it -- part of why I stupidly hesitated)

Uncommon condition:

Doxa sub 300 no-T Searambler edition. Only made for a single year (1967). Plenty of reissues, but the originals come few and far in-between.
