Where is the best place to buy used Rolex watches for reasonable to good prices?

All the websites I’ve seen have had ridiculous markups and I just want to either find a retailer or website that sales for the correct price instead of 30% over realistic retail.

Sounds like a business plan to me. But if there are none showing the price you want to pay (-30%) how do you know that -30% off current market value is the ‘realistic’ value? Also, I assume you are talking about vintage Rolex? If one can find a website where they are 30% cheaper then everywhere else, then just think, the seller must have got them for a further 30% off (as his margin is probably 30%)...and that’s the thing to hunt.

It's stupid but that's the nature of a product that, for most people, is next to impossible to buy at retail.

No stainless steel sports models will be available at retail or below, online. You may be able to find an airking, Milgauss, or Explorer at reasonable prices with careful searching. If you’re talking about vintage then all of the crazy prices you’re seeing are the actual current asking rates.

If you are lucky - you buy sports model at retail price, if not - you buy one used for 30% more than retail. 😀🤦

Or don’t bother with all that Rolex noise and buy a collectible Omega at a much more affordable price.

IMO, different dealers have dramatically different mark-ups. There are several that are more reasonable than others. I'm sure you will find them eventually.

i mean some dealers even continue to bump prices up even for bad polished examples, but go figure, sellers market.

I feel like it'd be helpful for everyone's understanding (including my own) if the OP specified where/how they're arriving at their 'realistic' prices and clarified what area they're looking at: vintage, modern, SS sports, out of production but contemporary, current production, etc.
