I don't know where you are OP (sorry, wait, that sounded like Liam Neeson) - but your post motivated me to call up a thread I came across elsewhere (https://ask.metafilter.com/346272/Are-there-Estate-Sales-in-the-UK-What-are-they-called)* that explains quite lucidly some of the practical and cultural differences between US / UK / Oz hunting grounds - I learned a few things.
