·Every once in a while, I find a vintage project….
sometimes, I find a watch case, or a movement
sometimes a watch with no hands and a dial that went through a sander.
My question is… what should I do with a project like this? Sometimes I keep them for spare parts, but sometimes I want to slap on a redial and put on new hands and enjoy the piece.
I don’t ever plan on selling these or ever misrepresent what they ever were….but who knows what happens 30 years from now when I’m not around.
What do you guys think about where the line should be with regards to restoring a vintage ‘parts’ watch?
