Hi All, So I know which watch I want next but I will keep that as a surprise for when I get it. However, I could get addicted to looking on eBay every day so I was wondering where you lot look to find a nice watch at not a stupid price? Do you use auctions, eBay, dealers etc? Ta Oliver
When you're at an auction house do you look for anything specific? any advice when buying from there?
You will get more advice if we at least know what your after as brand, age, style come from so many different places. Don't need to say exactly but, even doing this might get you a PM from a member that has what you want and will let it go
I really fancy getting the following or, at least, one of the following: - 1950/60's Omega Seamaster with black dial - 1950/60's Constellaton with black dial rose gold or none rose gold I'm not sure if I would rather have one in mint condition or something a little used but not too far beyond "used"
Do you know the finer details of what you're looking for? If so, phyical and on-line auctions, local sales ads etc. If not, the sale forum here.
Not really if I'm honest just something I like the look at within those years and models. I'm just hesitant to buy from an auction without any prior knowledge.
Of a fellow forum member. Organised a few GTG,s on my recent trip to Nederlands and Denmark and Bingo a Lemania Super Compressor I have been looking for (over a year of searching for one as nice) Met some great guys also the watch was a bonus
Have you seen this on here https://omegaforums.net/threads/pri...oss-hairs-2846-calibre-501.33805/#post-382928
Do you mean the crosshair? That's on the dial. I would strongly suggest you buy from a known, private seller on the forum or spend a bit of time familiarising yourself with the models that interest you, to avoid buying a dog.
Off the top of my head I can think of at least 3 watches for sale from well respected/trusted members that might interest you (a couple of nice Seamasters and a chronograph).
