    Hi all,

Anyone knows where I can get a 2852 stainless steel constellation case? Been searching in ebay but couldn't find any hence hoping to see if there's anywhere else I can find it.

Try the 1950s, they have a few there*

*apologies for the facetious joke, I think you will struggle to find one as that is a 70 year old model. Assuming you have one at present which is poor, have you considered a full professional refurb with laser welding? This can often bring a case back from the dead if done well.

    Good luck!

Just to put it into perspective I've been collecting 1950's Constellations for a few years now and only a month or two ago managed to find my first NOS case parts.

I bought an unused steel midsection for a ref 2782 that was listed on Ebay. Other than that I don't remember seeing NOS case parts for the early 4 and 5 digit Connie references. For the later 6 digit Constellation's there are sporadically parts to be found on Ebay.

retired watchmakers estate sales, and watch convention swap meets/auctions (join your local NAWCC)

And be dogged in your hunt, happenstance is not your friend.

    Good luck

Remember that it would have been very uncommon and expensive to replace a contemporary Constellation watch case in the 1950's. Therefore, there weren't a lot of spare cases made then and there are even less now.

Tool or sport watches like Speedmasters and Seamaster 300's owners seem to have been a bit rougher on cases, and accordingly, Omega made more replacements of these cases.

    Hope this helps,

Be careful! This reference is frequently faked.

There was a Michigan based watch dealer that routinely sold these fake cases. I think they ran out several years ago, but they still turn up on eBay and other places.

@gatorcpa oh my I didn't know about this. Is there any way to verify the authenticity of such cases?

The one I was referring to is this case for 14902

Sometimes you have to put the movement in to see how it aligns then you will be able to tell.
But this one looks ok to me.
