Actually, whilst we're on the topic. Has anyone seen elephant straps? Obviously legal ones. They are endangered but, as was posted earlier, they do die and one would make a whole lot of leather.
It’s shark skin leather. It was only $40 and took about 4 weeks from the time I placed the order until it arrived.

I wonder if one of the strap makers could reproduce something like this? Shark isn't super rare like elephant (which I'd really like to find).
I'm sure they can, the hard part is the thick curved end and it's height working with the geometry of the pin holes. You can get customs made but I have yet to find any that look as good for under £450 (and of course they are not Omega). Mine is for sale potentially so please do look yourself to confirm.
