It's a very thin watch. Where can I get one? I've had trouble finding it. Is there a substitute battery that will work? Thanks!
This site http://www.electronicplus.com/search-return.asp?search=751&Submit=Search shows Energizer 335 as a replacement for the 751, however one of our resident watchmakers provides different advice here: http://omegaforums.net/threads/renata-751-battery.10947/
Not sure how that 335 replaces a 751. The 335 is a 1.55 volt silver oxide cell and the 751 was a 2 volt lithium cell. That site may only be looking at the dimensions of the cell and not voltage when they are offering alternatives. The 751 was discontinued by Renata back in 2008, and although there was another company making them after that they are hard to find. When you do find them, I have seen them selling for over $100 - big difference from the $0.68 I normally pay for a cell!. Your best bet is to contact Omega - my understanding is that they have a replacement movement that they will fit to the watch and it uses a regular 1.55 volt cell. Cheers, Al
