Purchased this lovely 20mm Tan leather tropic style strap from Geckota, needed a little 1/2mm trim either side to fit the 19mm lugs on the SM 2913 but to looks and feels great. Just need the right buckle now.

Normally I might have a hard time deciding if leather on a diver is taboo, but I think it's safe to say that you're not going any where near water with that thing, so it gets the from me!

I think it looks good. I just can’t get over my seething hatred of the trend of “pre-aged” vintage lume on a new watch.

(Kidding although my hate for new “vintage lume” is real)

58 years old this little beauty is. Lume pip and hands unfortunately have been relumed but everything else original

 

And it’s gorgeous. You can’t recreate the passage of time

 

Not only looks perfect, but a pigskin is the correct choice for these. NATO straps weren't about back then.

 

NATO wasn’t even established until 1949, I believe it was a couple of years setting up before they started marketing watch bands.

 

I’ve been wearing my Jedi on this racing strap lately — seems to suit it well.
