    .... options suddenly appear!

Found a 2011 3570.50 going for 2400 USD locally... Guy says its not serviced, so it might need a service soon so he dropped his price of 3000 USD to 2400 USD. Pretty nice.

As mentioned, yesterday, I have a chance at a local dealer for a Broad Arrow at about 2900 USD, I told the dealer about servicing the watch and if he could drop the price, he dropped to 2720 USD :(

But the dealer also has a late 2016 Speedmaster Moonwatch (black box and all), for sale at 3300 USD (another customer at the shop noted that the black box itself costs about 550-600 USD)

so which will you guys choose?

2016 moonwatch for sure. Get to enjoy it immediately, and way less use (if any at all).

I'd go with the 2016 Moonwatch. Years of worry free use.

The box with all accessories is worth more than 600. The NATO alone costs over a 100. I broke my spring bar tool and it took me 3 month of searching and 145$ to replace it.

I would say the 3570.50. I've had both. Call me strange, but the newer bracelet significantly changes the overall feel. The newer one is noticeably heavier on the wrist. The earlier version of the 1998/849 is way more comfortable.

The Omega tool is much nicer and uses the 6767F tip.

Agreed. I think both Rolex and Omega have gone a bit overboard with bulk in overbuilding their bracelets over the last decade.

I hated the Omega tool they put in the box. It took me nearly an hour to get the bracelet off using it until I gave up and got it off with my Bergeon 6767-f in about 30 seconds.

The Omega one feels really gimmicky and cheap...it's like the loupe and medallion thing - just there for show in a way more than a real proper expensive tool.

I recommend the 3570 over the 311.005... I bought a 311.005 and greatly regret it because I couldn't get a good fit with the bracelet no matter what. It's either far too tight or far too lose. You can't add half links to it like you could on the 3570 and it's thicker/heavier too. I had to buy a 1171/633 bracelet in the end and even with all the links removed and set to the smallest micro adjustment it's still a bit too loose on my 6 inch wrist, but at least it's better than the too tight 311.005 bracelet and feels significantly lighter/better balanced overall.

Once I saw the 1171 and 1450 with the way they have a vintage 20>16 taper plus fully brushed look I never wanted to even use a modern Speedy bracelet again anyway.

Wow, I'm surprised to hear that. I use my Omega tool for all my bracelet swaps. No problems with it at all. I use the loupe as well. Seems to work just fine.

Get the 1154 adjusting clasp added to the screw and pin bracelet. It makes the new bracelet far better than the older pin and collar, and gives you much more adjustment than you need.
