When was the 1171/1 bracelet (square logo) introduced?

I've looked around online as well as in a book but there seems to be different opinions - when was the 1171/1 with the 32 on the inside of the clasp and squared logo on the clasp top? Hence, I'm talking about the 1171/1, not 1171 or 1171/1/633.

I thought these came in the 80-ies are service bracelet but someone I'm talking to insist they are original to a 145.022-69ST Speedmaster.

    Any help much appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I've had this discussion with several collector friends at this point.

The (most excellent) chart you are referring to seem to have 1171/1/633 listed but not the 1171/1 in there? Am I correct to understand that they are different bracelets? (as much as we can call these nearly identical bracelets with various clasp codes "different"...)

633 is the end link code.
My understanding of that chart is that the small red number indicates the code of the end-links, but I could have misunderstood. Also, I expect that there may have been some updates and refinements to that chart in recent years, but it's a good reference.

In reading these threads, I was reminded that there is some variation in the bracelets (not only the clasps), because earlier removable links used screws, which were later changed to pins.

I’ve had a Speedmaster from 81 or 82 from the first owner. It was delivered on a 1171 bracelet.

1171/1 started mid 80's. Possibly slightly later.

    100% not original to a 145.022-69

    I acquired a 145.012-68 on a 1171/1 funnily enough.

But I too think it is 100% not right for a watch if that era!

ps as noted above, 1171/1 and 1171/1/633 are one and the same. 633 is the end link code for all 1171s

The predecessor of 1171 (1039) was still in production int he early 70's so a 69 could hardly (or just barely )come on an 1171 and absolutely not on a 1171/1, which is a much later model.

True but not strictly true. 633 endlinks are certainly right with an 1171 on a Speedy Pro or SM300 165-014 et al.

But mine had the trapezoid logo on the clasp

However, my Cosmic 2000 came on an 1171 with 676 endlinks 33571341-1C6E-43CB-9CF4-83EE59E3FBCA.jpeg

Actually… 677 end links, also fit an 1171 …and are a better match, for a Speedmaster

    My "Circa 1977" 145.022 ST78 Speedy came with a 1171/1 bracelet, a 32 clasp, and 633 ends.
    I never changed any parts....
