When they say 'RARE' and your not sure.......

It must be the most commonly overused and abused sales pitch used to describe a vintage watch.

In most cases it's rarely 'RARE', but in this case I'm not sure. I've not seen this watch before and not much about to compare to. This therefore begs the question, is it indeed rare, or just not popular or sought after?

It’s a sought after reference but isn’t rare. Perhaps you’d say they aren’t overly common.

Not overly common enough to justify a £800 price tag? 😕

It’s not a model I’ve followed closely at all but I think that’s a reasonable price.

In fact I think one was listed for sale on OF recently at more than that and it sold instantly.

In fact looking at past sales on OF (search Admiralty) it’s a very reasonable price if it’s a genuine sale.

If you were posting this 2 years ago there might have been agreement but last two years have been even more crazy than the previous 6-8.
Bubbles continuing bubbles bursting its all been discussed here but fact is Feb 2022 if you like that watch and seller checks out it is a fair price.

I sold one of these on here some three years ago for more. They are a nice size watch and on the correct Fixoflex bracelet look quite stunning. Here next to a Speedmaster which shows that they are a good size for the modern market.

Available with/without date as well as manual or automatic.

Good luck, Chris
