Hello all, I don't know if it is cautionned by OF, but using OF to sell such bad redial is quite disapoiting... http://auction.catawiki.com/kavels/...ch-eagle-men-s-watch-+-1955-with-original-box
The linked photo's in the photos are from Desmond's site and are referring to a French market bumper 352 or 354 Constellation AFAIR. With an original dial of course. Ludicrous estimate too!
Also of note is that on Catawiki, the object description is provided by the seller, not the auctioneer.
Which do they use and expert if the expert doesn't say anything.... ? He just puts his face next to the ad ?
More or less, yes. He provides an estimate, checks that the photos (and I assume the text) meet the minimum requirements, and answers questions by bidders (usually by forwarding them to the seller). He never sees the actual items.
