Here are some awful fake Speedmaster 145.022 69 parts from Brasilian seller rl-watches

https://www.ebay.com/itm/222794612850Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Answer from seller after asking him about these fake parts:
    "Thank you idiot!
Of course all the ebay community will read your article!
Why don’t you post all my Omega watches there?!
You better have more sex: people who doesn’t have sex frequently, have time to try to fuck others in the internet!

I'm curious as well. I'm not a Speedy guy so this will serve as a learning opportunity. What are the tell-tale signs that these are fakes?

Edit: I realized as soon as I posted that this thread isn't for questions. Mods, if this post is inappropriate please delete.

    Hello Gentlemans,
Allow me to introduce myself: I am Raphael, the ebay member who is selling the speedmaster parts above, that a (at least, unpolite) member of this forum decided that was a “counterfeit”.
If you don’t mind I would like to insert the dialogue we had on ebay messages:

Him “-Hi, do you truely think it's not fake?”

Me “-What makes you think those are fake Omega parts?”

Him “-I own a few 69 casebacks, and yours is very off...”

Me “-Show me pictures of the differences...”

Him “-Sorry no time to do your home work, you re a pro seller, aren t you?”

Me “-LOL! Ok, thank you for your “advice”! I already denied offers of 1.500 in this parts.

    Have a gday!

    Regards”

Him “-I'm on my computer now and it's 100% obvious that it's a fake, 100% fake”

    Me “-Ok!

    Don’t buy!

    “Original guy”!

    Have a good day!”

Him “-(Than this idiot sent me the link of this thread)

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/don...re-not-for-questions.6235/page-55#post-873936

    Me “-(than I sent him...)

    LOL,
    Thank you idiot!
Of course all the ebay community will read your article!

    LOL”

I would like to say that I sell vintage Omega watches on ebay since 2005 and never, ever, sold any counterfeit or fake Omega part or watch. My reputation is perfect!

This guy must have some serious mental problems to attack me like that!

I know Omegas very well, and I could easily identify a fake watch or part. My dad worked at a Omega store and I grown with these watches.

Telling a litle bit about that speedmaster above:
The case is Swiss made... ...and for the ones that don’t know: from 1971 to 1972 a Brazilian company called “Beta” was a branch of Omega in my country due to customs/import problems of gold cases and bracelets (not movements which were swiss).

I already request this “smart” guy to prove his words about my speemaster but he is still quiet!
If he is a trully man he should apologize for all this and wipe out all this accusations!
If he were here in my country I would prosecute him for fake statements!

Thank you for your time, gentlemans
    Best regards
    Raphael L

Moved from the fakes thread as it is worthy of discussion in areas apart and including the sale considered.

Seems to me that either an explanation or apology is in order here......

Well the starting point is the Naid crown ..it’s very difficult to just claim it’s fake on this simple inspection but it’s position in the Omega symbol is not that regularly seen and the arm lengths are not in the proportions either so that would indicate that the crown requires further examination usually the symbol is identical in style to that of the Mercedes 3 point star and it’s always placed in the center of the crown at its high point and equidistant from the Omega symbol

It’s definitely none conforming and most likely looks like it could be a fake

The crowns are often counterfeit because they are valuable and are needed on early iterations of the speedmaster ..they are rare and desirable

The bracelet looks like a service bracelet but that is pure guess at this stage but not fake the dust cap with the dimple looks right the case is too indistinct to determine but there is so many of them no one need fake them and the case back looks poor with some questionable issues
The bracelet should be a 1175 with the side grooves on the clasp and the links should be oval but it’s hard to tell

1969 seems awfully late for Naiad crown. I thought the experiment was considered a failure many years before.

Can’t comment on the rest of the parts.

The main problem with the naid is that it never appears on this reference ...it’s not coeval

It should also have 24 teeth but I can’t be bothered counting it’s too unrreal
