So, what exactly happened to Panerai? I know they have had a sketchy (for lack of a better word) past, but don't really know anything more than that. A tl;dr version perhaps?
The director loves them, but I know that I read that the actor who plays Hitler (Brun Ganz) isn't as much of a fan - while he appreciates the creativity, he has stated they are harder for him because of the emotion and effort he put into that scene. http://www.vulture.com/2010/01/the_director_of_downfall_on_al.html
Kinda role where you invest so much and wind up owning the character. He gave an incredible performance. I share his discomfort at making Hitler a laughing matter. Especially in this political climate. Still I'd loose the stash if I were him.
This one is also redubbed, that’s not at all what he‘s talking about in this interview. They totally made this up .
Edit: oh wow that is a more funnier one that the one I had in mind. There‘s one out there that tries to make it look like it‘s a normal sub.
Ha! I only watched the first minute or so of this, which is quite believable. My high school German is far too rusty to have picked up on this being a joke too.
Honestly, kinda weak... But damn, what's crazy is that he actually nailed down my spec! Yellow seatbelts and all! I have this on order, January delivery. (and no, it didn't come from Champion...)
You have to see the one where is gets nailed on the trade-in value for his TTS... Now that one is funny!
Excellent, Excellent spec ( doing the classic italia gesture for something delicious) If you are located on a west coast i would love to take some serious shot of that beauty.
"Downfall" is a really great film...Recognized it right away. Yes, I was chuckling more than with the original subtitles.
