- service dial? the minute subcounter should have shorter indexes, isn't it? relumed?
- service pushers? they look too shiny and too square to me
- the crown doesn't look like the flat feet to me, hard to say but might be a naiad, which is indeed a bit different
- what about this BASE 1000 bezel? repro by our good friend? original?

What do you guys think?

Sad. Lots of hubris here... Also, if you make such a purchase, one would hope you dod some research into the reference. And even the most rudimentary research would reveal multiple better examples! Calculated risks are all well and good, but something tells me this purchase was just a straight blunder. Sad.

 

I thought there was more than one variant of the black Base 1000 bezel, as denoted by the "S"... one flat ends, one rounded ends.

i've only ever held one Base 1000-based watch, so I'm no expert, but I think the bezel is OK.

the rest of the issues? let's say the nato is the best part.

I forgot the member here with the immaculate 2998 with box and papers in unpolished condition. It basically looks brand spankin' new. Now THAT is the best 2998 I've ever seen.

 

That's MSNWatch, as oddboy mentioned above. Real question is why he'd only bring back one with that time machine...
