My vintage Omega grail would be a 2998-3 Speedmaster with Lollipop chronograph hand

My Holy Grail (for my first Omega) was sold on OF a month before I discovered the forum 🙁
A freshly serviced Constellation 2782 in great condition for a bargain price. So I may have to wait a while, and it may have to be the second or third Omega I own 😀

My Omega Vintage Grail, 2 years later

THE watch / variant that emerged as the most important and difficult grail for me over the years (> 15 years) suddenly appeared for sale in 2020.
I'm so glad I had knowledge of the model enough to dare and happened to have the money right then, would not want to wait for the next one to show up ..
Now 2 years later I am just as happy to own it and have not found anything that attracts me the same neither before nor after this beauty!🥰
Yepp,,bumper, gilt,,, everything,,,😀

Lovely watch 😉

It was grail territory for me as well! I purchased the watch to celebrate a special anniversary. Hopefully you are able to find a nice example. Looks like @Spruce has already pointed you to the right direction.

Well, I didn't really have one until now... 😁

But this one was a definite must-have...

Since I started this thread it seems appropriate to announce that I finally acquired my grail, a 1958 Ranchero, last month, and that I will sell it never. 😀
@gbesq Really wonderful Ranchero! Any chance you could share who makes the suede strap? I'm currently on the hunt for a black suede strap and I'm looking for what ever options I can find.

Yes, happy to share. It was custom work by the Strap Tailor: thestraptailor.com

And to stay on topic here. Since my fascination with Omega, particularly the Speedmaster, began with the racing heritage and the driver's chronograph; my grail would have to be a variation of the CK2998. A 2998-3 Lollipop would be truly wonderful but with the classic chronograph second hand, the 2998-5 is really the ticket for me.

And as a bonus, here's Willie Mairesse possibly wearing the same reference

There's a Fratello article for anyone who would want to learn more about the photo of Willie and his Speedmaster.

Any of these three, shared by another forum member. But if I had to pick one, I'd go for the pink gold 😀

Don't know if this qualifies as a grail but hoping to find a nice 'unmolested' Seamaster Calendar CK2849.
So far I have a black dialed 2503 and a pie pan Constellation, both bought from here (not confident enough to risk buying elsewhere) so hoping one will eventually appear.
