Hi guys, thinking of purchasing this Eterna. Seems to be in fair condition but I'm not very knowledgeable.
What do you think ? the sell is asking 450$
As you can see, the case back has no fancy medallion.
Sorry for the poor equality pictures

Pretty common watch in extremely underwhelming condition. I'd pass, it looks like the kind of watch that would give a little pleasure for a few hours, or maybe days, and then get consigned to the bottom of the watch box.

I agree, the condition is poor. Even if you have to pay twice as much the pleasure you’ll get from a really great example will last far beyond the memory of paying a premium.

You're in Israel which is the land of vintage Eternas and Kontikis. You should be able to find a stellar example with original bracelet that needs no forum approval.

I do like those early Kontiki models, but it's not easy to find them in good condition. Do you know the size of the watch?

No and yes. These early ones with the etched raft are actually not so common.

    I stand corrected :)

But for me it would still be a big pass due to the condition issues. I've always preferred a more common model/ref in outstanding condition than a seldom seen model/ref in poor shape.

Israel, vintage Eternas? Never seen any. Why do you say that?

I would pass on that one. In unpleasant condition.
