Sure seem to be a lot. It's almost impossible to sort out signal from noise with the media reports. The messaging from local + federal government officials seems totally useless too.

Video unrelated 馃対

One plausible theory thrown out there was that more drones fliers are taking to the sky to check other drone sightings. :馃嵖:

Even though everyone and their cat has a drone these days, I am certain that they are from the outer space or from an evil enemy in the east. Or the government use them to spray chemicals that make our frogs gay, or that usual cabal of people that starts bush fires with lasers on the moon is at it again. Either way Im stockingup on 12 gauge shells, bubba! 馃お

I鈥檇 bet if we would start taking them out, either by gun fire or electronic jamming, we could figure this out.

I think we need to track that guy down and give him the OF pilot wings badge, even if he would have made it to a higher altitude with a trampoline, or a fat guy and a bean-bag, he鈥檚 earned it imo.

On reflection BAD IDEA. Can't have disabled drones falling out of the sky. I think using helicopters, I'm NJ has a few at their disposal. Couldn't a couple be deployed to track the drones to wherever they go/land. I think that would go a long way to identifying the the source.

All the people complaining about the drones would go ballistic if they bought one for their kid for Christmas and then learned that they needed a license to fly it.

I found one in the garden the day before yesterday, sold the plaque for $500 at the flea market.

OK, I added an icon on the top. 馃ぃ

Having watched a lot of these and followed several threads emerge, there are 2 plausible answers I come to each time. The first is, here we are just 2 weeks from Christmas, and we're seeing increased drone activity. Right around 6-9pm. In residential areas. Hovering for a few moments then taking off. With standard navigational lights. Anyone getting where I'm going with this? These are delivery drones. And I point out that we're not seeing much daytime drone footage.

The second is more interesting. One piece of footage in particular was of what appeared to be a large, 8-10 foot drone that is not shaped like the standard quad configuration but had a more pronounced triangular shape. Some one matched this to a Lockheed drone with some special capabilities, one of which is the ability to detect nuclear / radioactive material. The presumption leads us to the idea that there's some missing material, or a plot is afoot, and they're looking for something.

I'm skeptical of anything aliens. It's almost annoying. What bothers me the most is the Elizondo/Dec 3 thing is entirely debunked if you follow the pork, yet like others before him he's created a mini hysteria and is probably profiting from it.

This just popped up in my feed. Someone blew up a photo of a drone and found this on the side:

As a recreational flyer, the only things I needed to do was pass TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test) and register Droney McDronerton with the FAA. And of course mark him up with the info. I've renewed my registration twice, and it's pretty cheap if I recall. Lasts a couple years.

There are so many opportunities for jokes about the FAA and the FBI investigating and federal workers flying drones and calls for government intervention and DOGE and New Jersey. My tongue is bleeding.

I saw a "drone expert" on the news last night, and they said they flew their own drones up to check out these mysterious drones - most of what they saw were small private planes.

Seems like a nothingburger...

US government program, they are testing something and they aren't going to tell the public about it. When they are finished with the testing they will go away and people will forget about it. They are not alien spacecrafts, this is not a 'War of the Worlds' situation.
